Lawrence S. Graven

May 15, 1929 - January 5, 2014 Lawrence Stanley Graven passed away peacefully January 5 from complications of pneumonia. Born in New York City, he was raised in Los Angeles County and for the past 46 years resided in South Pasadena. He served in the U.S. Army in Fairbanks, Alaska during the Korean War, received a BA in Business Administration from USC, graduated from the USC Gould School of Law, and spent much of his career as a partner in the law firm of Grossman Graven Perry & Block. He will be remembered for his sound judgment, honesty, broad smile, and as beloved by his family. His enthusiasms were for USC football, old cars, music from the 1930s and 40s, and travel. His service will be January 17, 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn, Glendale. He is survived by his wife Judith, son Kenneth, daughter Laura Laun, stepson Colin Greene, stepdaughter Marcelle Greene, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
