Lawrence (Larry) Samuels

Samuels, Lawrence (Larry) Cedric
Oct. 21, 1931 - Aug. 3, 2012
Our larger than life father, Larry, passed away on August 3, 2012. After a cocktail by the pool with his friends, our dad passed quickly while doing one of his favorite things, barbequing a steak. Our Dad Larry was the life of the party and was well loved by his family and friends. He was a generous, loving, loyal and kind man and was always there when his family, friends, or clients needed him. Our Dad made friends quickly, even with those lucky enough to stand by him for just a few minutes. Larry was a self-made man; he became a lawyer in 1976 and soon after created "The Support Group", which helped women collect their fair share of child support from their divorced spouses. Dad was passionate about his career as a lawyer and equally as passionate about politics. An avid reader who was fiercely independent, he loved good food, good conversation, and most of all his family and friends. During his retirement he was able to enjoy travel and spent a lot of time enjoying his children and grandchildren. Together we traveled to Hawaii, Belize, the Bahamas, and Alaska. His grandchildren loved and adored him for his carefree attitude which blossomed after his retirement. Larry will be especially missed by his daughters Lisa and Julie, his son in law Craig, his grandchildren Kayla and Chase, his niece and nephew Robin Hall and Dan Rifkin and their families. He will be truly missed by all who knew him, rest in peace Larry, we love you!
A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Oct 20th in Woodland Hills, CA. Please email Lisa at: LawrenceCSamuels@gmail.com for information.
