Maxine L. Davidson, 95 of Whittier, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 in her home.
Crypt-side services will be held at 11am Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, California, Rev. James Schultz, pastor of Chevy Chase Church, officiating.
Mrs. Davidson was born May 27, 1917 in Visalia, California to Francis Earl and Martha Bernice (Hart) Blincoe. Her family moved to Tracy where she was a member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. Mrs. Davidson married her husband, William S. Davidson, Jr., March 16, 1937. They were married until his death in 2002. She was a devoted mother and an avid bridge player. While residing in Glendale, she became a lifetime member of the Guild at Glendale Memorial Hospital and served as its president for two years. After moving to Santa Maria she was an active member of the Minerva Club.
She is survived by her son, William S. Davidson, III and his wife Celestine of Alhambra, CA; daughter Marney L. Davidson and her partner M.J. Anderson of Whittier, CA; sister Barbara E. Walter of Tracy, CA; grandchildren Kelsey Davidson and Gregory Davidson of Alhambra, CA. Arrangements are in the care of White Emerson Mortuary.
