August 25, 1926 - April 25, 2014 Beloved husband, father, father- in- law, grandfather. Born in Youngstown, Ohio to Louis and Esther Glick. He did his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University
. His parents and older brother Dudley moved to Los Angeles so Merle could attend the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He started a dental practice that spanned the course of five decades. He married the love of his life, Pearl, on February 16, 1952. Then he served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army
during the Korean War
and Pearl was lucky enough to join him in Hawaii when he was stationed at Scofield Barracks for a year. Their first daughter, Leslie Ann Glick, was born November 20, 1956. Their second daughter, Nancy Glick Sheerin, was born December 27, 1957. He was an avid tennis player, and friend to many artists as well as a collector of their works. He travelled the world and always said he wanted to see as much of it as possible before closing his baby blue eyes. He was a volunteer at a special needs school two days a week. He was an extremely proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Pearl, his daughter Leslie and her wife Emily, his daughter Nancy and her husband Peter, his granddaughter Erica, and his grandson Todd. He was an incredible man who was loved by all who knew him. Services will be held Sunday April 27 at 10:00 AM at Mt Sinai Memorial Park, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles 90068.
