BERLFEIN, Miriam Our beautiful beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed peacefully on April 23, 2013 at the age of 100 and six months. Miriam lived for many years in Altadena before moving with the dear husband, Julius, to Laguna Leisure World. Julius passed in 1981 and Miriam enjoyed a blessed many years in her lovely home. In her later years she was lovingly cared for by Candy Takahashi, Victoria Nieto and Marcelina Manuel. Miriam took great pleasure in life and expressed appreciation with an open heart for all her blessings. Miriam's delightful sweet smile, her wit, her grace and her wisdom endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She developed a keen perspective on life and with her remarkable memory and quick sense of humor shared many stories of her past. Her daughters Phyllis Girvetz and Wendy Edlen, son-in-law Michael Edlen, grandchildren Nina Girvetz White (Ronald), Kenneth Girvetz (Heidi), Daniel Edlen (Brittany), great-grandchildren Julian White and Phillip, Rayne, Eli and Lexi Girvetz and Abbey Grace Edlen all take comfort that Miriam passed in the fullness of her time and is on to new adventures.
