Patricia L. Abram

Patricia Louise Brandon "MomPom" Abram of Claremont, California died on May 22, 2013; she was 82. Pat was born in Tampico, Illinois, March 6, 1931 to Genevieve (Ribordy) and Forrest P. Brandon. She graduated from Catholic Community High School, Sterling, IL and attended Mount St. Clare College and Academy in Clinton, Iowa. She married Luther B. Abram in 1954 in Whittier, CA; they divorced in 1979. She returned to school at Pasadena City College from 1976 until 1979 where she earned her degree in nursing. She was employed at Methodist Hospital in Arcadia as a registered nurse from 1979-1990. An avid fan of thoroughbred horseracing, she was part owner of several racehorses, most recently, Rio Good and Pay the Debt.
She is survived by Julie (John) Hiroto (Azusa), Joan Abram (Claremont), Jennifer Tennis (Peoria, AZ), Jack (Maria) Abram (Carlsbad), Janice (Cliff) Marticorena (Claremont), and Jeff (Jean) Abram (American Fork, UT), 18 grandchildren who adored her: Katie and Corie Hiroto, Andrew and Nick Tennis, Michelle, Lauren and Jack Abram, Michael and Joey Lesh, Britany and Danny Marticorena, Jes (Billy) Pierce, Jenna Abram, Justine (Tyler) Ashby, Janelle, Jolene, Jeffery and Joanie Abram. Her twelve siblings--Richard Brandon, David (Frances) Brandon, Donald (Ann) Brandon, Margery Brandon, Robert (Peggy) Brandon, Kathleen Bochum, Larry (Linda) Brandon, Jean (Jim) Stuckemeyer, Janice (Paul) Falcone, Janine Brandon, Marilyn Brandon, and Angela (Scotty) Brandon--grieve the loss of their sister.
