Robert "Sport" Horton

April 4, 1927 - December 20, 2013 Robert "Sport" Horton passed away peacefully at home on December 20, 2013 with his wife Judy by his side. Sport was born in Venice, CA and was the youngest of six children. He went to Venice High and graduated from USC. Sport felt honored to serve his country in the Navy as a fighter pilot off carrier ships and received a Purple Heart during the Korean War. Sport joined Trans World Airlines and retired in 1984 flying Captain on the Boeing 747. His retirement years were spent traveling with Judy and golfing at the Riviera Country Club, where he was a member since 1981. He is survived by his wife Judy, numerous nieces and nephews, In-laws, and many friends. Sport's wishes were to be cremated and ashes out to sea.
