Bob Levin passed away on Monday from complications from Alzheimer's disease. He is survived by his five children and their spouses and children, Nina (Ed Jackson), Robyn Laguzza (Katy and Gina), Erik, Alison (Rich Rosenthal, Jason and Marc), and Michele (Sergio Cota, Pilar and Joaquin). Bob was born in Los Angeles to Samuel and Sara Levin. He attended Fairfax High School, UCLA, Berkeley and USC. He served as an officer in the Coast Guard, then he joined his father and grandfather in the family engineering business, Louis Levin and Son.
Bob and Renee raised their family in Los Angeles. After the children were grown, Bob sold his business and he and Renee moved to La Jolla. Bob and Renee were married almost 50 years. He cared for her lovingly as she battled breast cancer.
After Renee's death, Bob met and married Marge. They enjoyed time together and with their families. Bob enjoyed visits from his grandchildren boasted about how smart and talented they were. They will miss "Grandpa Bob," as will all who loved him.
