George Henry BURDITT

BURDITT, George Henry Age 89, of Burbank, CA, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Burbank, CA. He was born on July 29, 1923 in Massachusetts to his parents, John and Dorothy Burditt. George was the first of two children. He married Joyce Burditt in Cleveland Ohio on May 11, 1957. They had three children. He attended Massachusetts Institute of Art and Boston College. He served in World War II as a member of the Marine Corps. He was a member of President Roosevelt's Honor Guard in Washington D.C. and served as a member of his Funeral Guard. He was a resident of Burbank for 46 years. George was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church. He enjoyed golfing and his beloved pets. George will be remembered by his loving wife and their children: Paul and his wife Teryl, Jack and his wife Cyndee, and Ellen and her husband Mark. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Rendel, Kayla, Becky, Katie, Emalee, Hank, Libby, Carl and Joe. Great-grandchildren; Owen, Quinn, Isla, Sawyer, Jack and Dexter. He was predeceased by his mother, father, brother and great-grandson Liam.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Vigil Service for George at 5:00-9:00pm on Thursday, June 27, 2013 and Funeral Mass at 1:00pm on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary. Burial will follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
