Inna B. Magasin -Morris

Inna B. Magasin-Morris passed away peacefully at her home on December 22, 2013. Inna was born on January 15,1923 in Odessa, Russia. Her family emigrated to France in 1925 and to the U.S. in 1937. After graduating from Julia Richmond High School, she attended NYU. In 1940, Inna met Paul Magasin in Los Angeles, and they were married one week later. Paul was an Assistant U.S. Attorney; he later opened his own practice in Beverly Hills. Inna taught children with special needs for more than 20 years in the Culver City School District. Paul died in 1990, and in 1997 she remarried Dr. Mark Morris of Los Angeles. In 2006, they moved to Air Force Village West in Riverside where they made many new friends. Inna is preceded in death by husbands Paul Magasin and Dr. Mark Morris, parents Joe and Eda Boyer, brother Alexander Boyer and son-in-law Serge Blanc. She is survived by her daughter Marianne, sons Richard, Michael and his wife Denise Magasin of L.A.; her 4 grandchildren: Jonathan and Carolyn, Pam, Sheryl and their spouses Brian, Sean and Mark; her 5 great-grandchildren: Joshua (and spouse Kasia), Brandon, Tim, Shayna and Ben; 2 great-great-grandsons Olo and Zac; and two step-children Michael Morris and Michele Rydell and their children. Inna loved spending time with her family and friends, writing poetry and traveling to her beloved Nice, France. She enjoyed furthering her education and was chosen as a U.C.L.A. Regent Scholar for academic excellence. Inna spent countless hours volunteering and was a Honorary Life Member of the P.T.A. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her exciting and wonderful life was held on December 29 at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City.
