Alvin Bouldin passed away peacefully at his home in Los Angeles, California. He was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He joined the United States Navy in 1951 and served four years aboard the U.S.S. Walker Navy Destroyer, which had its homeport in Hawaii. He received a Master of Science Degree in School Management and Administration from Pepperdine University. Mr. Bouldin began teaching in the Los Angeles Unified School District in 1959 and retired in 1995. He taught English as a Second Language at Fremont Community Adult School. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Washington Bouldin and father, Robert, Sr.; brothers Robert, Jr., and Arthur; sisters Hilma (Johnson), Doris, and Evangeline (Harrison). He leaves to cherish fond memories a loving goddaughter, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. He will be remembered for his unique personality, generosity, great laugh and musical spirit.
