January 22, 1938 - December 18, 2013 A celebration of life is set for Jan. 4 for Woodland Hills resident Barbara Ann Noal Nevins, who passed away Dec. 18, 2013. She was born in Olean, N.Y., on Jan. 22, 1938, to Elizabeth and Frederick Blakely. Barbara attended Olean High School and Geneseo State University in New York before moving to Southern California in 1957. After earning a degree from Cal State Northridge, she worked in banking and became vice president at Brentwood Savings & Loan. Among her passions were bridge, crossword puzzles, spending time with friends and enjoying the successes of her children and grandchildren. Barbara married Pellegrino "Nino" Noal in 1965. Nino died in 2000, and Barbara subsequently married Jack Nevins in 2002. She is survived by her children Devery Holmes (Jim) and Dan Noal (Suzie) and their families, her husband Jack and his family, and her brother John Blakely and his family. The celebration will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 4 at Woodland Hills Community Church.
