Beverly ZACKY Obituary

ZACKY, Beverly Beverly Zacky was born in New York, September 27, 1928 and gently passed away in her home in Los Angeles Sunday, October 24, 2010. She graduated from Dorsey High where she played basketball and violin in addition to being in the Science club. Beverly married Albert (z'l) in 1951. As a woman of valor, her family always came first. She had a heavy foot on the gas while driving her children to school, sports, and other activities. She enjoyed traveling, playing golf and mah jong and especially watching The Lakers. She was a devoted mother to her children Rabbi Barbara Zacky and partner Ellen Sturtz, Sharon and Terry Wilensky, Richard and Kathleen Zacky; grandchildren, Sandra and Richard Handley, Jason and Pamela Wilensky, Dana Zacky, Neil Zacky; great-grandmother to Avery and Austin Handley. She loved her siblings, Norman and Gerri Dobruskin, Estelle and Harry Schwartz, and predeceased by Shirley and Maury Barryte.
Beverly will be greatly missed by family and friends, especially Florence and Buddy Rabins and her caregivers. Donations may be made in her memory to: (ABC's) Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies, Attn: N. Wong, 5670 Wilshire Blvd., #1590, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
