Carol L. Wong was born in a village in Hoisan, Canton, China. At 18, she emigrated to San Francisco. She married Sam Wong of Los Angeles in 1935, and they operated a successful Hand Laundry in the Larchmont area of Los Angeles. She became a naturalized citizen in 1954. After retiring from the Laundry Business, she became a Tai-Chi teacher. She moved to Rio Rancho, NM in 1991. She loved to cook, to garden, and to take walks. She was known as a person with a pure heart and blessed all with whom she came into contact. She had 2 children and 8 grandchildren. A memorial service was held last Saturday in Albuquerque. The service in LA will be held this Saturday, October 23, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Chapel, Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 E. Florence Ave. in Inglewood. The memorial dinner will be held at the Empress Harbor Seafood Restaurant, 111 N. Atlantic Blvd. in Monterey Park.
