Dr. Earl Chrysler

I had Dr. Bell as my professor for three consecutive statistics courses at San Diego State University, 1962-64. He was an excellent teacher who stressed understanding the concepts involved. His favorite saying when introducing a new topic was, "This is perfectly straightforward - nothing profound!" His obvious love for statistics and mathematics was contagious. He also had an excellent sense of humor, and a class session never passed bye without some comment or event that had both him and the class enjoying a laughter break. I will never forget him.

CB Bell III is one of my best friends, so my family and I have heard lots of stories about his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bells, particularly CB's father. God bless you all.
