I was Danny's boss at PaineWebber when he was the "rogue" in Distributed Systems, laughing at us dinosaur's in mainframe................he was a unique, funny, charasmatic individual that loved calling me on the phone late at night to tell me what he was seeing as he "combed" the servers.....................classic..............Tom Randall

Danny and I worked together for years at PaineWebber. I will never forget his enthusiasm. I remember one day when he called me into his office to show me this "new" thing he was sure would catch on... THE INTERNET. Danny was one of the smartest guys I ever knew. His ability to communicate at a level so anyone could understand him was truly unique. TOO SOON MY FRIEND. My sincere thoughts are with the Gumport family. Be strong. I know Danny would want you to be...

I worked with Danny at United Online. It was always an adventure trying to decipher what jingles he would whistle while walking down the hall working his yo-yo. He was a very unique, intelligent, personable guy, the kind of person who always made working more fun. He will be greatly missed.
