Danny was a wonderful and beloved son, brother and uncle. He worked at Ralphs grocery stores for years before becoming a teacher at Somerset High School in Bellflower. He also taught adult education for the Bellflower School District. He graduated from St. Mathias Elementary School in Huntington Park, Mount Carmel High School in Los Angeles and California State College, Long Beach, where he earned a B.S and a Masters degree. An avid sports fan, he loved the Dodgers, Lakers and Kings, as well as the Long Beach State Dirtbags baseball team. Danny also loved his dogs, Midas and Midas Too.
He was a faithful member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bellflower, where his funeral mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Visitation will be at Chapel of Memories mortuary in Norwalk today (Thursday) from 5 to 7 p.m., with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach.
He is survived by his mother, F. Maxine Droessler; brothers Steven and Larry; nieces Carmen and Rachel, and nephews Carl, Patrick and Jonathan. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl J. Droessler, and his younger brother, Brian. Danny will be missed by his family and his many friends.
