After all these years I hold David's memory close to my heart. I actually talk about him fairly frequently as I do a lot of podcasts and inevitably discuss my history in comedy. His name always comes up, and I love telling fun stories about him. He was a wonderful guy and a real character, ... the kind you don't find anymore. I was also very close to his daughter Cathy, and I hope she reads this and that she's well!

He had a heart of gold! I enjoyed meeting him at the Friars bar even though he put me down every time for my choice of clothing!

He was the greatest guy and he will be missed by all who knew him. He gave me my start as a comedy writer, and I think of him, and talk about him all the time. He will always have a warm place in my heart. Rest in Peace David!
