Dorothy Chamy Obituary

Chamy, Dorothy
February 19, 1932 - October 22, 2010
Dorothy passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 22, 2010. Born on February 19, 1932 in New York City to Harry and Lucille Shamlian, then moving to Los Angeles in 1946. After graduating from LA City College of Dental Hygiene, Dorothy married the love of her life, Van Chamy and together they shared the love and joy of entertaining family and dear friends. Always welcome to the sunshine house, memories of her infectious smile, unselfish and caring heart will live on in the lives of her family. Much loved by her brothers John and Raymond, Dorothy's other great joy was the love for her pets. Our family is grateful for the care and comfort she received from the staff at Palm Terrace, Laguna Hills and the angels at Comfort Care Hospice. Also survived, son Joseph and daughter Vanette. Her grandchildren Jessica, Joie, Joe, Billy and great grandsons Christian and Daniel. Mom will be deeply missed, yet we are comforted that she is with the angels above!
