Ethel Ustin Obituary

USTIN, Ethel Co-founder of Western Bagel with husband Dave, Ethel Ustin was a small woman with a huge heart. Proud, energetic, and charismatic, Ethel lived life to the fullest and liked to say, like Sinatra, she "did it her way." She was a tiny woman but her presence filled the room. She left an indelible impression on everyone she met and will be missed. Ethel is survived by her daughter Barbara, son Steve, daughter-in-law Charlene, son-in-law Larry, twelve grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, sisters-in-law, and a number of nephews and nieces. A service will be at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Groman Eden Mortuary, 11500 Sepulveda Boulevard, Mission Hills, CA 91345.

May Ettie's memory be a blessing to all her dear family and friends.
I will always think of her and smile...She was good hearted, witty, and
I loved that she never forgot about her growing up in The Bronx.
With my deepest sympathy to the family.

Though we only knew Ethel for a short time, she welcomed us as part of Stacie and Chad's family. Her dynamic personality will be missed by her family and many friends.
