George DARBY Obituary

DARBY, George Harrison Jan. 24, 1942-Nov. 2, 2010 Passed away peacefully after a stoic battle with cancer. His warm wit, grace and intelligence will forever remain with countless loved ones. Harrison was a law partner with Jackson Lewis LLP for 38 years and moved to Los Angeles in 1976 to open an LA office for Jackson Lewis LLP New York. His great everyday loves were his LA Times crossword puzzle and his many dogs over the years, most recently his adored golden retrievers Colby and Noah. Survived by longtime partner of 41 years, Ronald L. Wallace, brother Stephen Darby and sister-in-law Marge Darby of Harvard, MA, nieces Laura Darby McNally and Karen Darby Scott, nephews Brian Darby and Glen Darby, and 10 grand nephews and nieces. Memorial services will be held in Los Angeles on January 22 and in Manhattan, New York in April. Heaven just got even more gentle. Any donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund c/o 16830 Ventura Blvd. Ste. #315, Encino, CA 91436 in honor of George Harrison Darby.
