icon December 18, 1922 - November 3, 2013 A native of Los Angeles, Hal Snyder was born to parents Sidney and "Babe' Snyder. He was a graduate of Los Angeles High School, UCLA and Loyola Law School. At UCLA, he was captain of the fencing team and president of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. During World War II, he served with distinction as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps. For 25 years he practiced civil law, mostly in partnership with his father. Hal was an avid sailor and was an active member of the Del Rey Yacht Club, where he served as Commodore. He was devoted to his family and is survived by his wife Roslyn; sons Scott (Carol), Thomas and Guy (Alice); stepchildren Kenneth Bloom (Ginny) and Ellen Bloom Underhill (Larry); grandchildren Brett (Kirsten), Quinn (Cecily), Lisa and Daniel Snyder; and two great-grandchildren.
