Harry Rene Gisler, 90, passed away with loved ones by his side, September 30, 2012. Harry was born June 11, 1922. He grew up in Huntington Beach, California and graduated from Huntington Beach High School. Harry served in the Army and was a World War II veteran. Harry married Arlene Bradley in 1949. Harry moved his family to Idaho in 1967 where he bought a farm and lived for the next 40 years. Harry was an active member of the Catholic Church, an avid trap shooter, member of the Elks, as well as a member of the Native Sons. Harry was a devoted husband, loving father, and grandfather.
Harry is survived by his wife, Arlene B. Gisler, Twin Falls, ID, sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Plumleigh, Santa Ana, CA, daughter Susan Gisler, Irvine, CA, son Brad Gisler, Twin Falls, ID, and his three grandchildren, Douglas, Charli and Jon Gisler.
A Memorial service will be held at Saddleback Chapel Mortuary in Tustin, California, on Friday, October 5, 2012. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am, followed by the burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial and will be hosted at the Tustin Banquet Center in Tustin, California from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm following. All family and friends are welcome.
