December 6, 1920 - October 2, 2013 Passed away on October 2 very peacefully in Aliso Viejo, California. Helen was born in Sparks, Nevada and is survived by her two sons, Bob and Larry, and two grandchildren, Tyler and MacKenzie Barton. She survived her husband, Bob, who passed away in 2005. Helen lived a full and wonderful life. Moving from Nevada to Hollywood when she was very young, Helen attended Hollywood High School and was a classmate of Lana Turner. Professionally, she worked as a legal secretary at O'Melveny and Myers where she met her future husband who was a young lawyer there. Helen was an attractive person, coupled with the type of personality that drew people to her. One of her most outstanding qualities was her honesty. As her husband would say, "honesty is the best policy" and she was honest in spades. She was a member of several civic organizations and volunteered to help the less fortunate. To her family, she gave everything of herself and she will be greatly missed. At her request, no memorial service will be held.
