HALPERT, Herbert Age 86, a 20 year resident of Las Vegas and formerly of New York and Los Angeles, died Monday, October 1, 2012. Herb was born August 28, 1926 in New York, NY to the late Samuel and the late Yetta (Sachs) Halpert. He served in the Army with the occupied forces at the end of WWII. Herb worked in sales and had many hobbies including cards, golf and tennis. He served as president of the Optimist club in Los Angeles. Herb is survived by his wife of 59 years, Thelma Halpert, children Gary (Randi) Halpert of Westlake Village, CA and Debra Storosh-Halpert of Los Angeles; grandchildren Stephanie Halpert of Seattle, Jennifer Halpert of West Hills, CA, Tori Storosh of New York, NY and Matthew Storosh of Los Angeles; sister Edith Riemer of California; and sister-in-law Kathleen Halpert of Allentown, PA. The funeral will be held at 9:20 am on Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Veterans Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City, NV. Contributions in Herb's memory may be made to the
