August 10, 1934 - March 23, 2014 Jack Leland Elvington passed away peacefully Sunday, March 23, 2014. Jack was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Jack and Willa Mae Elvington. They family moved to the San Fernando Valley in 1943. Graduated from San Fernando High School and enlisted in the army. He married Barbara Jean Schenk. During their 53 year marriage they raised two Children. He worked as and electrician and enjoyed boating and fishing trips with his family and grandchildren. Jack was preceeded in death by his wife, Barbara and son, Don Elvington. He is survived by: Daughter Jackie Newman; Grandchildren, Stephanie (Eric) Ayers, Crystal Lopez, Jason Newman and Juan Elvington of Camarillo; Sisters, Mrs. Nancy Waldvogel, Mary Jo (Bob) Spicer, Brother James (Carole) Elvington of Santa Clarita. Jack will be missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Eternal Valley Memorail Park on 03/31/14. Viewing will start and 12:00pm and Funeral Service will start at 1:00pm with interment to follow.
