Jack Targon Obituary

Targon, Jack
August 23, 1920 - October 26, 2010
Jack Targon (90) a resident of Palm Desert, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2010 after a short bout with Cancer, surrounded by his family.

Jack was born on August 23, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. As a child he moved to Los Angeles where he met Millie. They would have celebrated their 69th anniversary together in December.

In addition to Millie, he is survived by his two sons, Lenny and Michael, his daughter-in-law Robin, his five grandchildren, Jodi and her husband Eric Lev, Josh, Brian, Michelle and Eric, and his three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Aubrey and Elias Lev. He was called Grandpa "Honey" because Millie used to always say "Honey come see this or Honey come see that."

Jack loved his time with his family. Weekend barbeques were a regular event when his children were growing up. He really enjoyed playing cards and handicapping football. We will all dearly miss him.

Services will be private and there will be a celebration of life tribute in a few weeks.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Ms. Mille, sorry for your loss.
I always enjoyed sitting and talking with you and Jack when you both would come to our office. I would try and guess what perfume he had got you, he would say oh I buy her so many, but he would still run home and write down the name of it so he could drop it off next time he came by. The love the two of you have for one another is amazing and something us youngsters strive to achieve.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
