Jacqueline Schenker Obituary

Jacqueline Fox Schenker
October 6, 1946 - February 1, 2013
My mom, Jacqueline Fox Schenker, aged 66, died peacefully on February 1, 2013 surrounded by her friends and family, after a brief struggle with cancer. Jackie was born October 6, 1946 and lived the fullest life one could possibly live. She was married to her soul mate Richard Schenker and is survived by her daughter Danielle Schenker who loves her more than words will ever capture, her son-in-law Paul Peters, and her brand new grandson Jack Richard, who she was able to hold and who will grow to know what a stellar grandmother he had. She read the obituaries every day without fail and used to say that if she did not see her name, it was a good day. My mom was the most perfect blend of energetic spark plug, gentle soul, mama bear, loyal friend, hostess with the mostest, lawyer and master mediator, life guru, caring confidant, wild child, foodie, sophisticated lady, little sister, doting wife and mother, world traveler, chef extraordinaire and wise sage all wrapped into five feet two inches of pure beautiful. She could quite literally change someone's life in a single conversation, with simple words of wisdom that resonate infinitely. Her motto in life was threefold: always be brave, something good always comes from something bad, and nothing is forever. Mom, you are loved by so many, but none more than me. You will always be my best friend and a million thank yous could not begin to express my appreciation for everything you are and everything you have done to make me the person I am today. May you and Daddy share a million new adventures up there, but save a few for me. See you on the other side. - "Bluie"
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, 12:00 p.m. at Mount Sinai 5950 Forest Lawn Drive.

Danielle I will never forget all the wonderful dinners and times our families shared. Your mom was so supportive when my dad was in the hospital and after his passing. I will never forget it.

Dear Danielle,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your
mom and I were close friends through
elementary, junior high and high school.
She was a strong and an intelligent
woman with whom I was fortunate enough
to share many incredible times as we
were growing up.
Sincerely,
Phyllis Miret Drimmer

Danielle, you have been in my heart and mind since hearing of your mom's departure for the next life drawing close last Friday. Jackie has been a more powerful force in my life than I think even she realized. I will hold firm in my mind's eye her bright, joyful, infectious smile, and remember well her many words of wisdom so lovingly and generously offered me over the last thirty plus years. Thank you for the sweet memories and so many priceless moments. I love you Jackie -- May your spirit soar unencumbered now by the bonds of body and earth. ^^*^^^

Your mother loved you more than life itself and was always so very proud of you. We will all miss her and the great service she provided helping families and children resolve their conflicts through mediation. Be at peace my friend. Thank you for touching our lives so deeply.
