Jim passed away peacefully in Angels Camp, CA on Sunday, July 10th 2011. He had a long and successful career directing and producing television and feature films. He was Alfred Hitchcock's first assistant director for many years and worked on "The Birds", "Marnie" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". He worked as a television producer for many years including the series "Dallas" and "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", and many others. He was a passionate racing sailor and became a member of Pacific Mariners Yacht Club the year it was founded. He retired to Calaveras County in 1990 becoming an avid golfer. Jim is survived by his partner of 20 years, Nora, his four children and their spouses; Tara May (Nigel), Tory Raisin (Michael), Jim Brown (Nancy), Richard Brown (Brenda) and nine grandchildren.
