March 23, 1939 - April 9, 2014 Jack was born in Jamaica, New York to Molly and Frank Doherty. Jack attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Manhasset, Long Island, New York and graduated from Notre Dame University in 1961. He entered the United States Air Force and flew for five years before leaving the military to join Trans World Airlines. He was with TWA from 1967 until retirement in 1999. He is survived by his wife, Joni, of 50 years and two brothers, Frank Doherty (Gail) and Bob Doherty and a sister, Eileen Wurtzel. Joni and Jack resided in Corona del Mar for 35 years and were active members of St. John Vianney Chapel on Balboa Island. A Rosary will be held Tuesday, April 15th at 7pm at St. John Vianney Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 16th at 10am. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Jack's name to St. Michael's Abbey, 19292 El Toro Rd., Silverado, CA 92676-9710
