i had the privilege of working with John at mgm Elstree & borehamwood on Stanley Kubrick"s 2001 a Space Odyssey. My job was in the Art Department with Tony Masters, art director and Frederick Ordway 111, NASA consultant, as secretary. Happy memories. I left as I was pregnant with my son, Pat Garrett who I'm proud to say has continued after his Father, Joe Garrett as a first class key grip.

I will always remember the time I spent with John. Despite his failing vision he was able to "see" better then most of us. He was a real trooper in the best sense of the word and a real inspiration.
Rest in peace,
Robert L. Gordon, O.D.

John Graysmark introduced me to myself as a film professional. Our relationship, once begun in New Mexico, continued as if it had always existed. Together we discovered the magic of the painted desert.
As my mentor, he, in turn, revealed the magic of filmmaking to me. John embodies the eternal spirit of cinema as a dream of God we all possess.
