August 8, 1936 - April 16, 2014 Joseph George "Joe" died peacefully at his home in Los Angeles on April 16, 2014. Born in Dayton, Ohio to Greek immigrant parents, the family moved to Los Angeles over 50 years ago. Joe joined the U.S. Army in 1960 and served in Korea. In 1965 he graduated from Southwestern School of Law and practiced law in Beverly Hills with his brother George A. George who predeceased him in 1995. Joe was a life member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was a dedicated practitioner. He was a modest man without pretense and was loved by all who knew him. He had many lifelong friends, and made an annual trip to his home town of Dayton, Ohio, to stay in touch. He will be missed. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26th, 2:00pm, at the Pierce Brother's Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary, 1218 Glendon Ave, Los Angeles, CA, where he will be interned with his parents and brother.
