As a friend, Julie was unforgettable. She will have a place in my heart and my memory always. Her endless curiosity was an inspiration, as was her positive outlook. She was a generous soul, and we had many wonderful times together.
My heart goes out to everyone who knew her and will miss her, especially to her three sons.

I will miss her. I am Mark, of WV Sprinkler. We did work on her sprinkler sys over the past 20 yrs. I would often bring her boysenberries and other "bounty" from my garden. Sometimes, I would sit in her breakfast room and argue for hrs over things political, which we were rather opposed. But she was always a good sport. Never held a grudge because my opinions didnt coincide w/hers. And she was happy when I allowed as how I would read my mothers old New Yorker Magazines. She started saving her old issues for me.
She had a low hanging branch on a pine tree in the rear yard-must have banged my head on it a dozen times over the yrs. Many times, I offered to cut that offensive limb, but she vehemently refused. Actually, I dont think any plant growth was ever trimmed. It was against her nature.
She was indeed a good ole gal, an original and a classic, and I will surely miss her.

"She made the world a better and nore beautiful place for everyone who knew her" I knew her and this is an understatement about Julie. She always had a sunny disposition for many years she was like my second mother. Julie and Miles and all the Raskoffs exposed me to culture at Los Angeles' museums and theatres for which I will always be eternally grateful. But the one memory indelibly printed in my mind is her reading to Ken's and my elementary school class.
My condolences on your loss Mark, Doug and Ken.
