Your mother was one of the smartest, strongest women of her generation. She could read people faster than just about anyone I ever met. And if the story wasn't what you wanted to hear, she insisted you stand up for yourself and respected you for that. She did a beautiful job with you all. You can be so proud of her. God bless.

I'm very sorry to hear of the death of your mother. You will all be in my prayers during this time.
I had the honor of bringing her Communion for her birthday four years ago and although it was a short visit, she made a real impression, and has remained in my prayers.
Also, that day, I met one of you (I can't remember your name) and you were very kind to me, which I greatly appreciated.
God bless and peace be with you all,

My mother was always ready to listen. Her advice sometimes seemed too brief, but that was because it was to the point and exactly what I needed to hear. While her early life was full and vital, she concentrated all her love and energy after her marriage on raising her 10 children. As we have grown into adults, she has continued to be the life blood that has kept us connected to usefulness and common sense, not to mention an inexhaustible faith. Now our challenge will be to find a way to tap into her strength while her physical presence is gone.
