Kurt Wolff Obituary

Wolff, Kurt Egon November 4, 1911, Berlin - June 21, 2001, Seattle Leaving behind his wife of fifty-five years, Dorothy, and son and daughter-in-law, Efram Wolff and Annie Shows. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Mr. Wolff was the founder of the noted Berlin-based cabaret "Ping-Pong" troupe in the early 1930's. Fleeing the Nazis he immigrated to the United States via Holland and London. He was the orchestra manager at Warner Bros. Studios and operated a business management firm, working primarily with musicians. Mr. Wolff was active in many progressive causes including the civil rights movement, peace and reconciliation, non-violence, and kindness towards all of life. He was from early on a vegetarian as a result of these beliefs. Those wishing to make donations please send them to Southern Poverty Law Center or United Jewish Fund.
