Honoring Mary on her birthday are long time companion Charlotte, sisters Betty of Indiana and Donna of Colorado, several nieces and nephews, many friends, and the loving "pottery chicks" who helped care for her. The daughter of Indiana dairy farmers, Mary made her way to UCLA/USC to become a professor of philosophy at Santa Monica College for 36 years. She loved her "farm" in Malibu, tennis, tai chi, and her post-retirement career as artist and potter. Her intellect, wit, creativity and love remains with all who loved her.
