Matthew Billet Obituary
October 31, 1963 - December 25, 2010
Born in Los Angeles on Halloween. He and his wife, Ellen, spent their lives devoted to their beautiful daughter, Bailey, the light of Matt's life and the reason he got up every day. Matt's family and his many friends will forever miss his warmth, wit, intelligence and endless irreverance. But we know he is watching over us and smiling, listening to the Grateful Dead as his beloved Raiders win the Super Bowl. Matt is survived by his wife Ellen, daughter Bailey, parents Monica & Jerry Billet, and sister Melissa Billet Brennan (Thom). We will love him until the end of time.
Service to be held Friday, December 31 at 10:00 AM Eden Memorial Park.

Matt, you were always my hero and mentor, whether you liked it or not, and influenced my life in more ways than I can count. I'll never hear or play a Grateful Dead song without thinking about you, and you will stay in our hearts forever. Fare you well my brother. We will always love and miss you.

There are just no words to express how very much we will miss Matt and what a void there will always be, especially at all of the future family gatherings, without him. Matt's sense of humor, caring nature, and straight-forwardness are just a few of the traits that made Matt so very special to us and, we're sure, to everyone that knew him.

Matt, my heart is broken. I am so grateful to have been apart of your and Ellen's life, and am honored to have been Bailey's sitter. Thank you for being a strong figure in my life while I was growing up. As my Mother said, We promise to be there for your girls. You are greatly missed.
