Michael Newman Obituary
June 29, 1950 - March 30, 2012
Michael Newman died unexpectedly March 30, 2012 of an aneurism at home in South Pasadena. He was 61. Born June 29, 1950 in Los Angeles to Wilfred and Marie Newman, he attended SF Art Institute and the Brooks Institute of Photography, becoming a respected professional photographer. Michael adored his wife Margo and his children Rose (dec.), Blair, and Jesse. He is remembered for his generosity, sense of fun, and refereeing at AYSO. He is also survived by his grandchildren Carson and Riley McElroy, son-in-law Scott McElroy and family, and sister and brother-in-law Lynn and Chris Gary and their family. Services will be held April 1, 2012 at Home of Peace, 4334 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles. Contributions may be sent to the Rose N. McElroy Fund at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA.

I'm so sorry to read this post. I was scanning some photographs and happened to see his credit on the back. I was curious to see what he was up to so may deepest condolences to his friends, family and colleagues. I sure glad he walked over to us this day and took this shot of my daughter and me! A fond memory.
