Uncle Mike really was my Uncle - my Dad is his older brother Ian. My three sisters and I rarely saw Uncle Mike - he lived in California, we grew up in Yorkshire then moved to Birmingham in the Midlands of UK - but we all adored him because he was such fun! It was always a special occasion when he visited our home and we were ever so pleased to welcome Monica to our Family. Uncle Mike was unusual in that he sought to keep in contact with us all (through the wonders of e-mail) and he always wanted to keep abreast of our careers. Shortly before Uncle Mike died I was appointed an Ecclesiastical Judge here in England - I really hope that Uncle Mike heard about this before his sad demise as I am sure he would have been ever so proud of this achievement. We shall miss Uncle Mike very much - he was a wonderful Uncle. God Bless!
