Milton Weiss Obituary

Weiss, Milton Melville February 26, 1918 - May 26, 2012 Milton Melville Weiss, Beverly Hills Pioneer. Milton Weiss, 94, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2012 of natural causes. His three children were at his side. Milton was a notable restaurateur in Beverly Hills and the son of the indelible Mama Weiss. Milton was the proprietor of the famed "Mama Weiss Hungarian Csarda Restaurant", "The Players", and "The Brownstone" - all three restaurants were regular hang outs for classic Hollywood stars from the 1940s through the 1990s; perhaps sparking his lifelong passion for classic cinema. A loyal patriot, Milton served as Captain in the US Army's final mounted Cavalry Unit during World War II. With equal loyalty, decency and compassion, he was an active contributor during the Civil Rights Movement. He also played a role in the Robert Kennedy campaign of 1968, Milton remained a devoted liberal and a registered Democrat. Milton was known for his sense of humor, always ready with a joke or his quick wit. He enjoyed travel, and extensively toured Europe, and his favorite past times included tennis and swimming. Most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Colleen; his children, Joseph, Cathy, and Andrea; his daughter's husbands Robert, and Thierry; and his five grandchildren; Nina, Hana, David, Ariell, and Maxwell, who were everything to him. He will be truly missed, but his wisdom, kindness and love will remain alive in their hearts.

My deepest sympathies to the Weiss Family on the loss of your father. There's not much one can say about the loss of a loved one. However, you won't ever have to worry about a world without your dad, since he'll ALWAYS be a part of your world.
