February 11, 1924 - November 15, 2010
Pearl G. Cogen, of Huntington Beach, CA died peacefully in her sleep at home on November 15, 2010.
Pearl was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 11, 1924 to Samuel and Freda Glassberg. After graduating from Brooklyn College in 1945, she worked as a social worker at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. She moved to Los Angeles in 1950 and later graduated from Southwestern University Law School. She was an attorney in the 60's and 70's, finishing her career at Texaco. After retiring, Pearl became involved in the Orchid Society. She was an accomplished painter and sculptor. Among her favorite activities were traveling and playing bridge. Pearl donated her large collection of perfume bottles to the Redlands Glass Museum in Redlands, CA.
Pearl is survived by her husband Leo, her daughter Jan, her sons Howard and Robert, her brother Murray, her stepson Bill and stepdaughter Melinda, and five grandchildren.
