December 25, 1918 - November 15, 2010
Phillip Brodax, 91, passed away peacefully at home with his beloved wife Lois by his side. Phil served in the U.S. Navy during WW II He married Lois Werbe, of Detroit, in 1945. Phil and Lois operated a chain of retail Children's Shops in suburban Detroit before moving to Los Angeles in 1977 where he worked with his brother Newton at Becker CPA Review Course. After retiring, Phil devoted himself to an artistic journey in oil painting that was to be a passion for the rest of his life. Phillip was the patriarch of four generations, always regaling family stories to his children, grandchildren and other relatives who looked up to him as the pillar of the family history. We will miss him dearly.
Survived by wife Lois, daughters, Laura Brodax, Seattle WA, Lynn (Barry) Berkowitz, Southfield, MI, loving brother Newton (Rochelle) Becker, 10 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Services at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills, Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010 at 1pm.
