Ray Colcord Obituary

December 24, 1949 - February 5, 2016 Ray Colcord, beloved husband to Maddy, father to Alex, brother to Marc, brother in law to Tom, and friend and mentor to all. Prolific composer for television and film, respected past President of the Society of Composers and Lyricists, a former governor of the Television Academy, and an appointee of the Library of Congress to the National Film Preservation Board. Ray died at home surrounded by love. We will be forever grateful not only for his life, but also for the incredible outpouring of love and support from all those whose lives he touched. We also wish to acknowledge those whose skills, talents, kindness, and knowledge gave us the gift of four more years. Memorial Service at 3PM Tuesday, February 9th at the Church Of The Hills, Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills. If so inclined, and in lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Ray's honor to the Disney Family Cancer Center - Saint Joseph's Foundation, 501 South Buena Vista Street, Burbank, CA 91505
