November 4, 1950 - January 29, 2011
Raymond W. Pinn, Jr., born November 4, 1950 to the late Raymond W. Pinn, Sr., and Reverend Anne Hargrave Pinn. Raymond passed from this earth on January 29, 2011. He was the oldest of five children.
Raymond worked for the LA Unified School District. Numerous awards and honors speak to the deep love and respect students, faculty, and staff had for him. After 19 years of service, Raymond retired. Not content to remain idle, he obtained certification from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and worked for several years as a security guard for Faithful Central Church. Raymond also worked full-time for the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles.
Those who encountered him were moved by his good humor, compassion, and love. He was sure to make a strong impression, and enrich the lives of those around him. Raymond leaves to mourn his passing and celebrate his life a host of friends and family. He is survived by three daughters - Yardley C. Farquharson (Richard), Sha-Nikka Pinn, and Sidney Pinn; two grandchildren - Raea and Reese Farquharson; three siblings - Joyce A. Pinn, Linda Bryant (Terry), Anthony Pinn.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 6, 11:30AM, at Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary, 3801 W. Manchester Blvd., Ingelwood, CA.
