The Honorable Robert H. London (Retired) lost his valiant fight with Parkinson's Disease. He received his B.A. in Political Science from U.C.L.A. cum laude in 1955 and his LL.B from the University of Southern California in 1958. Judge London was appointed to the Los Angeles Superior Court in 1972 and served there for eleven years. Since his retirement, he had been one of Southern California's most popular private judges. He will be remembered for his warmth, keen intellect and inimitable wit. He was a lover of jazz, fast cars, football, the beach and summertime in Blue Hill, Maine.
He is survived by the love of his life, Vivian Goldstein, his brother, Dr. Gary London (Joanna), his daughter, Jeri Brown (Tom), his son, Scott Modes (and family) and Vivian's children, David Goldstein and Susan Hayden. He was the beloved "Grandpa Bobby" to Mason Summit Allport and Samuel Robert Goldstein and step-grandfather to Andrew Allport (Diana). Also survived by his grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Brown, Vivian's brother, Art Silver (Shawn), Gene and Myrna Schwam, nephews Adam and Greg London and niece Linda. He leaves behind the "Sweet Little Group" and many other dear friends and colleagues.
A celebration of his life is forthcoming.
