Bob was a 6th generation Californian. He attended Cornell University for his degree in Engineering. He met Barbara Broatch in Sequoia National Park, and they married 2 years later, eventually having 5 children. They were married 60 years before Barbara's passing in 2010. He fought in WWII and the Korean War, retiring as a full bird Colonel. He worked for Lockheed from 1958 until 1988, and then became an enrolled agent and business consultant. He earned a Doctorate in Philosophy for original business administration. He was an active member of the Wine & Food Society, Military Order of the World Wars, Reserve Officers Association, a Founding Member of the Legion of the Dawn Patrol and many others, He was President of the Board of Enrolled Agents from 2002-2006, and President of the San Fernando Valley United Chambers of Commerce (a coalition of some 23 Chambers.) Bob is survived by brother James (& Dorothy) Meyler, 4 children, Gay (deceased,) (& Bob) Dawson, Robert III (& Kathie,) Nikki (& James) Miller, Helen (& Michael) Ramos, and Patrick, 17 grandchildren, Christy Fuquay, Kimberly (& Corey) Lee, & Heather (& Marc) Salazar, Matthew Dawson, Rick (& Claire) Meyler, Andrew & Heather Lynn, Bob, Jaimie, Garrett, Dakota & Hailey Miller, Patrick & Christopher Dettmar, Stephanie (& Randy) Welton, Adrien & Nikolas Ramos, and 5 great-grandchildren: Maganda Meyler, Addison & Jordyn Lee, Clayton Salazar & Landon Miller.
Services will be held in Encino on Saturday, 2/23, at noon, and he will later be interred at Arlington National Cemetery, in Washington, DC.
