I had the extreme fortune to first work under Bob in San Francisco as a Production Assistant on the Paul Aaron film, 'MAXIE' (Glenn Close, Mandy Patinkin, Ruth Gordon - 1985)

Then, less than a year later, in Miami Beach and the Everglades on Paul Michael Glaser's 'BAND OF THE HAND' (Stephen Lang, James Remar, Leon Robinson and Laurence Fishburne - 1986)

Not long after that in 1987, in Los Angeles, I was his 2nd Assistant Director and Practical Effects guy on a 'calling card' short film he wrote and directed.

Bob was one of the smartest and kind individuals I ever had the good luck to work with. He also suffered no fools and in all of his teachings, literal or by example, it has served me well in my life and career working my way through all the various departments to ultimately become a Commercial Director and produced screenwriter.

Tis' truly a sad, unfair -- if not criminal act of nature that such a wondrous soul as Bob Yannetti should be taken from this earthly plain too soon.

Rest easy good Bob -- I hope I will forever remember your kind smile and giving heart. Amigo ... you made a difference.

With equal parts love and redemption ... as Bob --

-- you will always be remembered fondly by more than yours truly.

Rest easy amongst the river of souls ... you earned it. Leslie, I hope this finds you well ... you had a heckuva man as a spouse.

Leslie,

No words can describe my shock and sadness for the news I just recieved today. Am sending love and hugs to you and your children. Some of my fondest memories of working are of those long days spent with him on the set. And how we often laughed and laughed, both of us bent over with our hands on our knees. He taught see so much about the right way to do the job. It was a gift I never took lightly. Even today when I work I think of him when I do something he taught me, and there is much. My prayers are with you and the girls. Much love.....

Dear Leslie,

Nancy and I were so immensely saddened to hear of the passing of Bob. We have such fond memories of him (and you). We were in Santa Fe when we got the news and went to the St. Francis Cathedral there and lit a candle for Bob. Please know that you and your girls are in our thoughts and prayers.

Leslie,
I am so terribly sorry for your loss. While I didn't know Bob well I had such a nice conversation with him at your Mom's funeral in Mason City. He seemed very kind and gentle. I know your loss is immeasurable. I hope your friends and family can be a source of comfort to you during this extremely difficult time.

Bob: You would have been so proud of your daughters today. They have the Yannetti courage in spades. You girls were amazing. Your father couldn't have been any prouder. God bless both of you and your lovely mother. I miss you Bob, but your girls were so courageous today, you must be bragging about them right now. Wayne Damore

Leslie, I have wonderful memories as a child hanging around your home with my father, Les. You and Bob made it feel like it was my own. I adored you both the way only a 10 year old girl can. Thank you for those memories and to introducing me to popcorn with parmesan, which if memory serves, was your "fave". Although I haven't seen you in decades, I am so terribly saddened by your loss. My thoughts are with you.

Bob, we will miss you so much you have no idea. You watched me and becky grow up and were like our second dad. Our families will never be the same without you. We still can't believe you are gone.
I can still hear you laughing and joking about everything, especially stupid things that i would do, in my head.
I can't believe there wont be another man date... Bob, you have made such an impact on our lives and we thank you so much for that. You definitely will be missed.
