Roberta Kelch Obituary

Kelch, Roberta Helen Conover Root
October 22, 1919 - November 17, 2010
Roberta Helen Conover Root Kelch
Roberta Helen Kelch died peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday morning, November 17, 2010. She passed with the same dignity and grace as she lived her life.
Born October 22, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she attended Wooster College and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1942. While proud of her academic and professional accomplishments, she was even more fulfilled by her years as a wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by four children: Katherine Greenwood (Carl), Jody Brown (Jim), Joseph Root (Kim) and Bill Kelch (Pam). Additionally she loved being "Grandma East" and "Nana" to her twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren who dearly adored her.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 on Friday, November 26, 2010, at Fairhaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Saddleback Chapel, Tustin, California.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Not sure what to say?

November 24, 2010

Dear family,
Please accept our our heartfelt sympathies on the death of your mother. Charles, Sarah, and I along with our families have contributed a memorial to the Non-Violent Peace Force, a global organization that places volunteers in the middle of potentially violent situations. These volunteers broker conversations between opponents and diffuse the violence. A certificate will arrive at Kathy's home testifying to this memorial. We thought Aunt Roberta would have been pleased to have this done in her name. Our love to all of you.
