Sadie ACOSTA Obituary

ACOSTA, Sadie E. (94), born in 1916, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2010. Los Angeles resident of 91 years, she was a devoted member of the La Plaza United Methodist Church, Los Angeles and retired from LA County Flood Control in Los Angeles in 1979. She is predeceased by her son Joe L. Hernandez and survived by her daughter, Priscilla B. Wass of Valinda, and sons Rey Hernandez of Alhambra, Roy Hernandez of El Sereno and Carlos A. Hernandez of San Jose, 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 29th from 5 to 8 p.m., Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30th, 3 p.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier CA. Sadie's grace and spirit will live on in all of those who were blessed by her amazing presence. In lieu of flowers it was Sadie's wish that donations be made to La Plaza United Methodist Church.
