Sandra Edwards Obituary

Edwards, Sandra Pauley
December 14, 1940 - March 11, 2013
Sandra (Sandie) Pauley Edwards was born in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles to parents Harold Raymond Pauley and Aileen Tognazzini Pauley. Though raised mainly in California, she spent many of her childhood summers on the family-owned Coconut Island near Oahu. After graduating from Marlborough School in 1958 and attending Marymount College, Sandie started a family, raising three sons. She then set up a home-based business and began investing in residential real estate. She later served on the Los Angeles County Grand Jury and became a docent for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. She was also very active in her local homeowners association. Sandie loved to entertain and hosted numerous social events and class reunions at her Toluca Lake home. She cherished her garden and all of the colorful species in it, was a friend to the animals and always had her favorite pets around. She spent a lot of time at the beach and was a long-time member of the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades. Sandie was also a good athlete. She skied, rode horseback, became an avid tennis player, and eventually developed a passion for golf, which she enjoyed regularly with friends and family at Lakeside Golf Club. She traveled the world with her husband of 32 years, Fred Edwards, and loved spending time with her many grandchildren. Sandie will always be remembered for her great sense of humor. She was 72 years old. In addition to her husband, she is survived by sisters Mrs. Robert Kendall (Joanne) and Mrs. Charles Cappel (Patricia), sons Christopher Burr and his wife, Tina, Gregory Burr, Scott Burr and his wife, Andrea, stepdaughters Lisa Guinn and Suzanne Edwards, and grandchildren Katie, Timothy, Anna, Mia, Allison and Matthew.
Family and friends of Sandie are invited to attend a memorial celebration in her honor to be held at Lakeside Golf Club on March 23, 2013 at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

Our group of Hancock Park Friends from the 50's and 60's are going the way of WWII vets....love 'em before all are gone and, like Sandie, live only in fond memories. Until we meet again, Ron Goodgame

As kids we had lots of laughs and I always loved her laugh.
That's a great gift to give.
God bless her soul and comfort her family.
Her struggle is over. She is now surrounded by peace and love.

Thanks for being a part of our lives and our memories. Even though we did not see each other very much we always remembered the good old times together. Our love to the family.
